The sheer number of wide receivers in the NFL means that researching wide receivers is a lengthy endeavor. In addition, when you consider that the standard starting lineup includes three starting wide receivers per week, we recognize that depth at this position is absolutely critical. Because of the level of difficulty in gauging wide receiver, extra time should be spent creating your wide receiver rankings. The deeper your player rankings need to be, the more difficult it is to create accurate rankings.

As with running backs, the general guideline to follow when ranking wide receivers is the number of touches that a player receives. Each time a wide receiver touches the ball is another chance for them to pile up fantasy points so target these players first. Once you have mapped-out your top 25 or 30 wide receivers, start taking into account all pertinent factors when analyzing each player's worth because you’ll need to carefully consider all pieces of available information to make accurate comparisons.
