Players missing from cheatsheets

So I'd completed my cheatsheets for each position about a week ago, and I came on today to adjust Andre Ellington, but I got a little tripped up not seeing him on my cheatsheet.  Then I checked and noticed that a ton of players were missing from some of my sheets.  I had over eighty RBs ranked, and came on today to see my sheet only had numbers in the forties.  Eddie Lacy and CJ Anderson weren't even on the list!  The adjustments seemed random, and affected dozens of players across my sheets.  The problem is that when I go to edit the sheets and add the players back in, it automatically puts them on the bottom.  For some positions, I know my top ten-fifteen easy, but it's hard to remember where all my missing players fit in.  I put a lot of work into my rankings, but now they've been decimated.  Is there a way to restore my sheets from a past date?

Hey NeoEclipse!

I know you probably don't want to hear this but I just don't see how that's possible.  I don't have any processes running which would modify your rankings and no one else can access your sheets.  If you can provide me with an exact date that you think your sheets were valid, I'll go back and do some digging to see if I can determine when changes were made.  If you think there is a big discrepancy for a player or two tell me who they are and I'll try to determine when they were moved.

In regards to adding players to your sheet, what you're seeing (adding players to the end of your sheet) is the default behavior.  This is where users generally want the players to land, otherwise we'd have to use some sort of algorithm to insert them into various positions, which would result in the problem you're currently seeing.

If you could, validate over the next couple of days that things don't go haywire again and I'll do what I can to check things in the database.  Sorry for the confusion and hassle.

Another sheet changed since I just checked.  Now my kickers (big deal, right?) sheet has been slashed in half.  My last untouched sheets are QBs and DSTs so I just saved that information elsewhere.  However, it looks like my WR, RB, and TE sheets were all modified on 4/20/15, though I didn't make those changes.  I believe, then, that anything at 4/19/15 should be accurate.

Thanks a bunch for reporting this.  I'm going to perform some experimentation to see what I can find.

Ok so two days ago I created a cheat sheet based on each major fantasy position: QB, RB, WR, TE, K, & DF.  I added a ton of players to each sheet:

  • Quarterbacks: 100
  • Running Backs: 100
  • Wide Receivers: 100
  • Tight Ends: 100
  • Kickers: 47
  • Defenses: 32
I also exported each cheat sheet to Excel to save the current ranking of players.  Today I checked and none of the players have been removed from any sheet and they all seem to match my Excel exports.

NeoEclipse,

Can you PM me your password?  I'll go back and look at the old data to see if I can find a pattern in the players that were removed from your sheets.
