Le'Veon Bell suspension cut from 3 to 2.

He is going to be on the field for another game; does this catapult him into the top overall slot for you?
I still have him behind Jamaal Charles and Eddie Lacy.

I agree that losing two games puts him squarely behind those two.  The race for the top running back is usually pretty close and losing two games of stats is just too much among those studs.

I don't know. For PPR, I still think he is worthy of the top pick.

Thanks for posting Mike!

I went back and looked at the stats and you have a good argument.  In PPR Bell posted 23.2 fantasy points per game compared to Charles' 16.7 and Lacy's 17.

If you project Charles' & Lacy's totals over 16 games you get:

  • Charles - 267.2
  • Lacy - 256
Bell's 23.2 average over 14 games gives him 324.8.  So I stand corrected!  Bell had an incredible year last year, can he repeat those stats?  Even if he comes close he's the #1 PPR back.

No worries Brad (Pinch) :)
I don't usually get the 1st pick anyhow so maybe if I am in top 3, I can get lucky..lol

I am still going with Charles, who finally has a receiver to stretch the field and has a career YPC average of 5.5 which is better than Bell's 4.7 for just last season. Let's just hope he has a season more like 2013; where he got 104 targets.

hes in my top 5. i do not have him #1 in standard leagues. but i dont see any harm in taking him 1st but those 2 games may come back to bite you if you lose early.

Yep those first two games of the season become extraordinarily crucial.  Plus, everyone needs to step back and realize that although Bell had a stellar year in 2014, there are no guarantees in 2015.

Many times people just assume last year's stats will be maintained the following year.  If we're talking about which of these players has chosen he can do it year after year, it's Charles.

yea exactly. Charles and you can make the case for AP even tough we all know what happend last season. Alot of people listen to the Matt Berrys of the world and get wrong information alot of the time.
